Ry’s Story: How One Dog Lover Built a Different Kind of Pet Care
Before Ryland became "the Pet Guy," he was just a shy kid who felt most understood by animals. Dogs, especially, seemed to speak a language he could feel without words—one made of energy, presence, and trust. With time, that connection only grew stronger.
Ry began to notice something deeper: the dogs he cared for and taught were teaching him. Patience. Listening. Stillness. That insight became the foundation of his life's work—and the heart of every interaction at Ry the Pet Guy.
Today, as a certified canine behaviorist with 11+ years of experience serving the South Bay Peninsula, Ry has built his practice on this core belief, borrowed from spiritual teacher Ram Dass:
